The picnic is open to all dues paying members and their guests.Reminder: members paying their dues AFTER June 1st the dues go up to $35.00. Guests are always welcome;. however there is a charge of $20.00 per Guest.  Please remember to bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on.  Based on last name, members are requested to bring the following in a quantity sufficient to amply serve several people in addition to your own family/guests: A - F side dishes, G – M desserts, and N – Z appetizers.

This coming year, DCA will provide be barbecued pork and ¼ chickens cooked on site by the Dividing Creek Gang.  We need volunteers to join the “Gang” and help with the cooking and chopping.  Cooking will start at 09:00 AM and the chopping around 02:00 PM.  Buns, coleslaw, beverages, and ice will also be provided

We will also hold our 50/50 Raffle which was so popular last year.
For anyone not familiar with the Raffle 50% of all money taken in goes to the Raffle Winner and 50% goes to the association to help defray expenses not covered by the Annual Association Dues. The last Raffle we had came to over $300.00 with the winner taking home a little over $150.00.

Please remember to come out the morning of the picnic to join your friends and fellow members in our Semi-Annual Dividing Creek Association Road Clean Up. Looking at the condition of the roadways this is going to be quite a chore. In spite of the present condition of the roadways if 15 to 20 members come out we can have everything ship share in less than 2 hours. Our goal is to start at 9 and be done on off the roads before 11.

 Planning Commission 

The association is monitoring Northumberland County’s Planning Commission. All members are encouraged to attend the Planning Commission meetings regularly scheduled on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p. m. in the New Courthouse at 39 Judicial Place in Heathsville.

All association members are encouraged to attend ALL of the Northumberland County Board and Commission Meetings.

Members are encouraged to attend the Board of Supervisors meeting held in the New Northumberland Courthouse usually on the Second Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. Many decisions are being made that directly affect our area such as new property assessments, rezoning, Bay Act Compliance, and cross bay ferry service to name a few.

All association members are urged to attend all of the Northumberland County Board and Commission Meetings. Your presence at these Board Meetings is the only way the supervisors and commission members know of your individual and collective concern for what is taking place in our county.

If you don't care what is happening in Northumberland County just don't attend the County Board and Commission Meetings.

Northumberland County Wetlands Board

The Northumberland County Wetlands Board is responsible for county approval of  permit applications  for all wetlands, shoreline and/or coastal primary sand dune and beach modifications within the county. The board is responsible for the approval of all permits related to the installation or modification of existing riprap revetment, bulkheads, boat ramps, or any other shoreline modifications within Northumberland County.

Association members are encouraged to attend the Wetland Board Meetings and be aware of changes that are proposed for our shorelines.

The Wetlands Board's next meeting will be held on Monday, FEBRUARY 13, 2012, at 7:30 P.M. in the Board of Supervisors Room of the old Northumberland County Courthouse.

No Notices of Public Hearing have been posted for areas within the Dividing Creek Association Areas of interest.
