Area Road Clean Up

Each Spring and Fall the Dividing Creek Association
members are encouraged to come out and help keep our
Adopted Neighborhood Roads (Kent Point, Prentice Creek and Ditchley Roads) looking clean and their beautiful best.  This twice yearly community service has become an association tradition and is a great way to get out with our neighbors and do a good turn for the entire Dividing Creek Community.

Our 2010 FALL
Road Clean Up

Our area Road Clean Up is scheduled for Saturday October 23, 2010 at 9:00 AM.

Everyone is requested to meet at the corner of Prentice Creek Road and Prentice Point Drive.

If we have enough members show up we should have the cleanup completed by 10:30. Please come out and join your fellow member Guys and Gals in this semi-annual project we do for our community.

A Special Thank You!

The association also wishes to express a special thank you to all the people, DCA Members and all the other members of our community who pick up roadside trash on a daily basis. Without Your help our roadsides would be a terrible mess and our association's semi-annual cleanup would be an all weekend affair.

Thank you Virginia for your generous hospitality.

In addition to the usual chicken, the wonderful appetizers, sided dished and deserts provided by our members we were treated to delicious pork barbecue and refreshing cold beverages.

All who attended reported having a wonderful time with beautiful weather and few if any insects.

Thank you to all who made this event the wonderful success that it was.

Membership Meeting

and

Board Member Elections

DATE: Saturday, October 3, 2009
3:00 to 6:00 PM

LOCATION: Virginia Kelley's Home
  415 Kent Cove Road

The Bill of fare for the event was Oysters (of course), Clams (always a favorite with the ladies and yes, we ran out again), Val Robinson's famous Brunswick Stew, Hot Dogs (for the non seafood or Brunswick Stew members and the kids), Adult Beverages (wine and beer), Soft Drinks and Bottled Water, Coffee and of course the all of those wonderful appetizers, side dishes and deserts our members bring to share and show off with everyone. Thank you one and all for all of the good food you brought to make this one of the best roasts ever.

We had a wonderful turnout on an absolutely beautiful day.

As an added attraction we had a 50/50 Raffle. The Raffle was open to members and guests and you did not need not be present to win. The proceeds from the raffle goes to help support the DCA Water Monitoring Group. Our lucky raffle winner took home a cool $121.00. The Water Monitoring Group wishes to thank everyone who participated in the raffle. The proceeds received from the raffle will be used to purchase much needed supplies to continue checking our waterways for pollution. Check out our Water Monitoring page for further information on what we have accomplished.

As always Guests of members were welcome and were charged $20 each at the door.

Reminder:  Dues for DCA member families are now $30 to the end of the year.
